SD is Standard Definition. HD is Hi-Definition. HD has become popular and accessible to consumers during the past couple of years. HD offers greater resolution and clarity than SD. However, HD can still be a significant cost difference, produces very large files, & not everyone has the capability to view HD. Blu-Ray DVDs require a Blu-Ray DVD player. Consumer-grade SD televisions and computer screens will not reveal a visual difference between SD and HD footage. So, if you are considering a video that will only be seen on a computer screen, you can probably save some money by opting for an SD production.
